Wellness Wednesday, Financial Literacy Series, December: Retirement


Wednesday’s wellness financial education series, the free financial education seminar programs, continues on December 15, this time focusing on preparing for retirement.

Called the Successful Transition to Retirement, this seminar is for everyone, whether you plan to retire in 30 days or 30 years.

Topics covered include:

  • Ensure a successful transition to retirement
  • Manage cash flow and expenses
  • Retirement health care

This session will be conducted live, free of charge, and offers you the opportunity to ask questions of qualified financial advisers.

There are three 60-minute sessions at noon, 3:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. Eastern Time (9:00 a.m., 12:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. Pacific).

Sign up here or email [email protected] for more information. Wednesday Wellness Seminars are offered free of charge to military members in transition, veterans, spouses, families and caregivers. The seminars are sponsored by VA in partnership with Prudential Financial Services.

Previous seminars in the series have covered taking charge of your taxes, buying a home, managing a job change, paying for education, budgeting, emergency savings funds, and advice for a healthy financial life. Seminars have always received high marks from participants.

Participants also have access to the Financial Wellness Center, a digital portal focused on learning, with over 100 short educational articles and interactive tools that include financial self-assessment, budgeting and help and counseling for student loans.
