KBRA assigns preliminary ratings to GS Mortgage-Backed Securities Trust 2022-PJ1 (GSMBS 2022-PJ1)

NEW YORK – (BUSINESS WIRE) – Kroll Bond Rating Agency (KBRA) assigns preliminary ratings to 38 mortgage transfer certificate classes of GS Mortgage-Backed Securities Trust 2022-PJ1 (GSMBS 2022-PJ1). The transaction is primarily backed by prime mortgages with an aggregate principal balance of approximately $ 789.2 million at the deadline. The pool consists of 762 fixed rate first residential mortgages as of December 1, 2021. The pool is characterized by significant borrower’s equity in each mortgaged property as evidenced by the initial WA LTV of 70.8% and the Initial WA CLTV of 71.0%. The initial weighted average credit score is 767, which is well within the range for prime mortgages.

KBRA’s scoring approach included loan-level analysis of the mortgage pool through its KBRA RMBS credit model, review of due diligence results of third-party loan files, cash flow modeling analysis the payment structure of the transaction, reviews of key parties to the transaction, and an assessment of the legal structure and documentation of the transaction.
