Barcelona advance on loan-to-buy deal for Arsenal’s summer goal
Arsenal could miss Renato Sanches signing this summer as it appears Barcelona are making good progress in their attempt to make him one of their midfielders this summer, according to Todofichajes.
The Lille man has been identified as the player to help Ronald Koeman’s side grow stronger.
He’s been on the radar of Arsenal this summer as the Gunners look for ways to add top quality players to Mikel Arteta’s squad.
Arsenal have good relations with Lille having signed contracts like Gabriel Magalhaes and Nicolas Pepe of the French club during the last transfer windows.
However, that relationship might not save them this time around, with the report insisting that Barcelona and the French club are already discussing a loan-to-buy deal.
The report says talks are at an advanced stage and the Catalans are confident they will seal the deal in the coming days.
Despite being only 23 years old, Sanches has won league titles in Portugal, Germany and France and could be Thomas Partey’s ideal midfielder partner if he were to move to the Emirates.
Arsenal are also aiming for a transfer for Manuel Locatelli and Houssem Aouar in this transfer window. If they miss Sanches, their fans are hoping that one of them will move to the Emirates.
